Ball State finished just 2-6 in the Mid-American Conference, which was second-worst in their division. It was even worse out of conference, as the Cardinals failed to win a game to finish with a 2-10 overall record.

Their defense actually wasn’t all that bad, but their offense was downright terrible. They scored the third-least amount of points out of all of the teams in their conference, which simply isn’t going to get the job done.
